Information We Collect
We collect information that clients, counterparties, and website visitors provide directly to us — including names, contact details, transaction records, and any documents shared for the performance of an engagement. We also collect limited technical information from our website (such as IP address, device type, and referring page) through standard analytics.
How We Use Information
Information is used solely to deliver contracted services, respond to inquiries, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and improve the quality of our practice. We do not sell client data. We do not use client data for third-party marketing.
Confidentiality of Client Files
Every engagement is treated as confidential by default. Access to client records is restricted to authorized personnel with a demonstrable need for that access. Retention policies follow Michigan real estate recordkeeping requirements and, where applicable, the retention practices of engaged counsel.
How We Protect Information
DeedSide maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information in our care. This includes encrypted transmission, access controls, credentialed personnel, and periodic review of vendor practices.
Third-Party Providers
We rely on a limited set of vetted providers for hosting, email, and document handling. Providers are engaged under agreements that require confidentiality and appropriate security. We do not permit those providers to use client information for their own purposes.
Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you, subject to legal and professional retention requirements. To make a request, write to hello@deedside.com. We respond to verified requests within a reasonable time.
